Youth Program

2019 Youth Rowing Program

The Youth program is geared towards young people aged 13-17, focusing on Skill Development, Safety and Fun. The program starts with the Learn to Row program taught by our Head Coach, Kevin. Everyone will experience the fun and friendship, for which rowing is known.
No previous rowing experience is necessary to enroll in the class. Swimming ability is required.

At the start of the program you will receive the Learn to Row session, which is two weekend classes. Row times after will be decided on by your coach.
Your first class is indoors, learning saftey, rowing calls and basic technique using our erg machines. Then you will be on the water and in boats of 4 or 8. Your coach will be in the coach boat providing guidance and feedback on your progress.

2020 Start Date: To do our part to protect our community against COVID-19, we have temporarily shut down the LaSalle Rowing club. Our season official start date is TBD. Registration will not be accepted until it is safe to re-open the club. Please check back for further updates as they become available.

Young people currently residing in LaSalle, who meet the eligibility requirements, may register to participate in the Jumpstart Program or P2P (Pathway to Potential) Program.. Please vist the Town of LaSalle's Website for more information by clicking on the Jumpstart or P2P logos:
